A movie that didn't stink: Perfume.

My friends and I traditionally catch a flick on sunday evenings when none of us are drunk or have to work. While it has definately been on my agenda to catch Children of Men- a story based in a scary but realistic future- my friend Joel, who has a keen interest in the olfactory due to his old job at Sephora, urged us to see a story based on a scary and realistic past: 18th century France to be exact. Anyhow, Perfume: The Story of A Murderer is based on the novel by Patrick Suskind and follows the fictional story of an obsessive and murderous perfumer John Baptiste Grenouille. Anyhow, it's an adventure for the senses filled with beautiful flower bouquets, pastoral landscapes and dead naked hot french chicks. Oddly enough, 10 minutes into the movie a girl sits right in front of me who smells like my first love ( she used to wear freesia). People who like perfume, french shit, and that movie Quills will probably like this one.
