Why I am not your Problem.

I recently received a nasty email from a fan that read (verbatim):

dear verticalphl,

I am so angry with you that you didn't come to my birthday party for my 10th birthday. It would have made it a much better birthday because I found out that my ferrett died and that my father is gay. I hate you.

You can imagine my shock when I found this in my mailbox Monday afternoon. Anyhow, I have a message for young Craig and everyone else who would like to blame me for their dead ferrett, bad birthday, and gay father:
Disappointment is the act of unreasonable expectations leaving the body.
